A large building with what appeared to be an adjoining restaurant. There is a large car park across the road opposite.
Once inside, the pub feels much smaller than it originally looks. A couple of bar staff were on hand to serve me, whilst a chef from the kitchen was walking around with a few pieces of raw meat.
I was the only customer in throughout my visit, with only a couple of delivery drivers appearing and then going again, whilst numerous phone calls were being received from people looking to book tables for food.
Whilst there were no other customers, I got the feeling that this was more of a youngsters' pub. Music playing was fairly loud and annoyingly, there was different music coming from the kitchen, which would have probably given me a headache had I stayed for much longer.
Hawkshead Windermere Pale is the regular beer here. Guests were Three B's Stoker's Slake, Ossett White Rat, Thawite's Wainwright, Bowland Pheasant Plucker & Northern Monkey Can't Argue With Idiots.
I enjoyed the Stoker's Slake (a mild) that I had and wouldn't mind seeing what the atmosphere in here is like once it fills up a little.

This is a warm welcoming pub with a friendly atmosphere. It offers quite a wide range of of guest beers,i tried the George Youngs Longboat which was spot on.dotted around the pub are various curios and other bits of old memorabillia. A carvery operates on a Sunday, and did look rather appetising. On the whole i think this pub is great and is well worth a visit.
