Very nice pub called in on our visit to Thatcham nice people at the bar good chat nice pint of West Berkshire Brewery Good Old Roy will call back if ever in the area

Quick Saturday evening revisit found three ales on. I went for the Andwell King John which was OK. Like almost all the other pubs in Thatcham that evening there was mega loud music, this one coming from a classic wheels of steel playing wedding reception classics.

Straightforward pub for the locals, big on the football (there's two screens inside and one in the smokers section in the rear). Surprised to see three ales on (Pride, TT Landlord and another one I forget). My Landlord was pretty good although the pub was heaving with blokey blokes watching the European Cup final so I would expect the throughput to be going some. Nothing out of the ordinary but a decent stop on this occasion. 5/10
