ROB Camra left this review about The White Boar

A red brick estate pub that obviously used to be 3 rooms that have now been opened out. A taproom to the left with a pool table and 2 dartboards, lounge to the right and a further room to the rear right with an exit to the beer garden. Looks to have had a refurb in the recent past, if not then it's had a new carpet at least. Quite a few large TV's showing At The Races on my Friday late afternoon visit. It's badged as a Thwaites house, so no surprise to find 2 Thwaites beers alongside Hobgoblin Gold. I had a pint of Thwaites Gold at a bargain £1.96. It was a decent enough pint as well. Not really my kind of place, but it was busy and seems to serve its community well. A good, solid, locals local.
