This pub looks like it's been recently refurbished. There's a beer garden at the front adjacent to the very busy Manchester Road. The bar is straight in front of you as you enter with seating areas to both left and right. There's a large restaurant area to the rear and the slightly more pubby front part also majors on diners. There's a nice bit of flag floor at the front of the bar, but sadly no beers on it. There are 3 handpumps but all were turned around on a Friday afternoon. Now there's some crap cellar planning for you, no cask ale for the weekend. The choice would have been very pedestrian anyway looking at the turned pumpclips. Served a half of fizzy stuff by a personality free barmaid. Not impressed at all.

Modern style pub close to Burys Gigg Lane football ground , away fan friendly , there was even a board outside welcoming the travelling Shrewsbury fans , there are 2 entrances that both lead into the L shaped bar area , it is quite narrow along the front of the bar and opens out a bit at the far end that leads to the seperate resturant area .
The floor is tiled and the decor is a mixture of white and that trendy greyish green colour that seems popular these days , seating is in grey , on the walls are several intresting old photos of old Bury pubs , no TVs i could see , only a jukebox on random play at a low level , it is all clean , tidy and modern feeling in here .
The beer taps are all shiny chrome as are the five handpulls with four beers from Thwaites on , the Wainwright was just on the turn but the Lancaster Bomber was spot on , plenty of friendly bar and waiting staff on so no long waits to be served even though it was very busy .
Food was decent enough , it is very food led .
I enjoyed my visit here , friendly staff and locals and reasonable beer .
