Steve C left this review about The Griffin Inn

The Griffin has a small U-shaped counter on the right-hand wall that faces small seating areas in the four corners of the pub, the left rear also having a dartboard. Televisions throughout show live sport, muted horse racing being the choice during a recent late Tuesday afternoon visit. There was some random background music so I suspected a jukebox, but I didn’t see it. The service was polite, but the presence of only standard keg and the basic nature of the pub means that I don’t plan on returning.

ROB Camra left this review about The Griffin Inn

Whilst walking back to the railway station the heavens opened and I nipped into this pub to avoid the downpour. It's all one room, but with 2 distinct areas. One is a nicely decorated lounge and the other has a pool table dominating it. There's also a bandit and a quiz machine. No real stuff I'm afraid so I had a half of something fizzy and listened to the friendly locals engage in a load of good humoured banter. I was only here for about 20 minutes as I had to catch the train, but I liked the place and would certainly consider calling in again.
