Re-opened as the Biscuit Barrel, which is more of a pub venture than p[revious. Interior has had the oriental chintz removed and has had a coat of paint. Doom Bar and a very good Tring Drop Bar available last night at a somewhat steep £4, ambitious pricing given that Spoons is over the road.

Now called Bali Lounge. You can still just have a drink if you wish but now the ale is out of action, I can't really see why you would.

Sadly, reports in that they've stopped selling the ale.The previous Oriental chap who looked after the place was a real ale convert and kept a very good pint of GK and often got Oakham in as a guest, which went down a treat with the spicier elements of the menu.

November 2012
Was a bland pub a few years back, now converted into a chintzy Thai-themed restaurant and bar. Three Greene King ales (including list guests) on the go in surprisingly decent shape, often including Olde Trip. The guys who run this joint also have the Moderation. Not necessarily an obvious drinking venue these days but worth venturing in if you like Olde Trip, especially as a spread of daily papers are available. The food, I should add, is delicious and fantastic value.
