Colin Walker left this review about The Lifeboat Inn

A sign outside The Lifeboat Inn reads "In every town the inn or tavern has a long history and the names of our public houses has a diversity of historic value & origin. The Lifeboat is one of the oldest buildings in Blackpool & dates back to the early 19th century when it was originally called Wylies Hotel. The Lifeboat was used as a meeting place for the men who manned lifeboats in Blackpool. The Robert William was the first to be launched on the 14th July 1864. Today it remains a popular meeting place for a variety of clientele."
