E TA left this review about The Old Mill Hotel

A dated hotel which fails to live up to its own literature. It is reached down the road to the toll bridge, a narrow lane which is frequently congested, and if coming from the South, it’s a really tight turn to get through the gate. The car park is very industrial, and the building looks shoddy and functional from outside. The back of the building is adjacent to the river, and a large mill wheel is still in place; this can be seen from the bar, which is on the ground floor and has a basement feel to it. On entry we waited an inordinately long time for a member of staff to appear, but that gave us a good 20 minutes to look around and examine the contents of the bar. There was no real ale or cider, just Bath Gem on keg and a couple of mega offerings. The bar is also the restaurant, co-termed The Rolling Mill, a rather silly name which just adds to the mediocrity. It’s a large rectangular room with a wooden floor and no atmosphere. Not worth the effort.
