New licensee last year. Has been rebranded as a GK Meet and Eat. Exterior paint job, removal of previous branding and pub sign. Thorough refurb inside, the panelling remains but has been painted. Some fairly garish bright colours as is the corporate wont. Side room which was used for functions has been knocked through. Darts, sports TVs, WiFi, food. Three ales; Abbot, IPA and a house ale, 3.9% so presumably a rebadged GK brew (H&H Bitter most likely). Quality of beer been pretty good. Not bad, if somewhat less quirky and more generic than it once was.

Tidy backstreet local, which is emerging strong from a series of dodgy licensees. Wood panelled walls and a cosy interior, along with a tidy rear beer patio. Three to four Greene King ales usually in fair shape. Food is available as well as a function room. If you like GK beers, this is one worth heading for.
