Not for the faint hearted. An L-shaped pub of dubious standards. Its never a good sign when the customers are drinking canned Strongbow or Guinness rather than the draught beer. Only a tiny bar with wooden floors and a very dated feel to the place. Hits from the 70s were coming through the speakers, which seemed appropriate. Just John Smiths and Carling pumps. No real ale. Best avoided if possible.

Completely redecorated inside and out during its transformation from 'rock' bar to a sports bar. Features one large screen and a few smaller TV's showing sports events (SKY TV avaiable). Friendly service. National brand beers, no cask ale.

The Grind is now closed and has reopened as The Arena Sports Bar by a different manager. It has large TV's on the walls.
