A bit nondescript from the outside, this is a good looking pub on the inside with lots of wood panelling in several areas. Lots of brasses etc, it's that sort of place. There are some good posters on the walls in the rear. Racing UK was being shown on a big screen. Sadly there's no real ale, it looks like the sort of pub that should serve it really. I had to have a half of Fosters, which at £1.70 was the most expensive drink of the day. Good pub though.

The Woodman is a typical looking town pub that is situated on the busy oldham road.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms,i had a drink in the bar which was quite a nice room to drink in,the seating was bench type and normal tables and chairs.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house at the time of my visit,so i was expecting to drink keg John Smiths bitter, but to my surprise there were two pumps on the bar,i had a drink of Joseph Holts bitter which was a really nice drink that went down well, the other beer was John Smiths bitter which was on handpump.
I love going i these types of pubs,i was'nt dissapointed with this one.
