The Star Inn has a central bar counter that serves the main seating area towards the rear, a smaller seating area to the right and a pool area to the left. Standard keg is available. I didn’t spot any televisions, but there were a couple of half rolled down projectors screens, not sure if live sports are shown. Some background dance music came from the jukebox. Out the back is a large picnic lined beer garden on what would have been the car park. I thought this place was very drab and felt more like a late bar. I don’t plan to revisit.

Basically a 4 roomed pub though the back bit was closed as it was getting painted. I couldn't see a handpump but there was no real ale on anyway. A real down to earth boozer at the middle to lower end of the scale.

There's a sign outside this pub that says real ale available. There was a handpump on the bar badged with Wainwright, but they didn't have any. In fact the barmaid asked the landlord when it would be on, he said maybe never.

The Star Inn is a town pub that is situated on the corner of a very busy road junction.
When i first visited this pub is was a lovely three roomed pub with a small cosy lounge and a decent bar.
The pub was a Boddingtons tied house with two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Boddingtons bitter which was a very nice drink, the other beer was Boddingtons mild.
The pub has now been opened out and ruined in my opinion.
