March 2014. Party of 12 pre-booked. It was a busy saturday evening (5pm) and we were glad we had reserved tables. The greeting was warm and welcoming and we were seated without too much trouble. Beers on offer were mainly Thwaites but seemed reasonably priced. Food was excellent value with most of the party opting for the 2 for £12 menu (although even the remainder of the menu was reasonably priced. The food when it came was very fresh produce cooked to a very high quality and the portions were all on the generous side. This made the meal all the more enjoyable because it seemed such good value for money. Deserts were all £3.50 each and again good quality and quantity. Ambiance was a typical Lancashire pub and I would highly recommend you calling in and giving a moment of your time if you are in area.

This is a pub on a busy main road. It is quite a large pub and was probably divided into several seperate rooms at one time although it is now open plan. There is a car park at the back. It was quite busy when I went in at lunchtime. They do food which is reasonably priced. Several people were eating so I decided to have a burger and chips. It was good and well worth the money. It seemed a friendly pub and one which I would visit again.
