The Blacksmiths Arms was dead when I visited on a recent Thursday night, but the two locals seemed harmless enough and the woman working the bar was reasonably polite. There is an old fashioned standalone jukebox which was turned off, a fruit machine which was turned off and a plasma screen that was turned off. To the left of the entrance was some disco equipment that was turned off, but there were advertisements for the weekly Friday night disco and as well as Fridays there is a late license until midnight on Saturdays. I think that there is a garden out the back past a room with a pool table but as my visit was late I didn’t investigate.
Two hand pumps are found on the bar, but one was unused leaving Tetleys as the ale option.
This place maybe better at the weekend, but I didn’t see anything that would have me rushing back.

A locals pub in the back streets of Sheerness. TO be fair it's a real find and the staff are welcoming as ever and even put up with my jokes as the evening progressed. Good service and a smoking area to the rear

Lovely pub situated near the sea with delightful 'mine-host' Mark.
