Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Red Lion

More of a village local than the Dog & Bear Hotel next door, retaining four main spaces: the main bar at the front, with a slightly raised seating area to one side and another counter area at the plus a separate dining room on the other side of the central servery. Thankfully, the interior is also as traditional as one might expect from its location on the historic square. On this visit (the first for some 12 years), London Pride, Shepherd Neame Master Brew and two Harvey's beers - Sussex and Old Ale (£4.10, but unfortunately not in the greatest shape) - were available from four of the five handpumps.

Manky Badger left this review about The Red Lion

Popped in whilst passing on a Wednesday evening. Whilst it seemed a pleasant enough place, I definately picked up what I could only describe as "vibes of a local pub for local people".
Reading other reviews it would seem that the choice of ales, whilst good, hasn't changed in a year. It's not a bad pub, but in this age of ever-improving pubs I can only describe it as "average" at best.
