Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Lads of the Village

Once a village pub, in a building dating from 1793 and then handily placed once the railway came through, but now buried deep in the almost continuous Dartford / Gravesend conurbation. The interior has been opened out at some stage to leave a single, elongated L-shaped room with a small lounge to the left as you enter, general seating around the bar and then some regimented tables leading to the pool table at the end. Sadly, the solitary handpump (usually dispensing the likes of Courage Best) was not in use, so - inevitably - John Smith's (£4.00) it was. On the plus side, though, I found the long-standing landlord couple welcoming to a random visitor.
