Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Railway Tavern

Fairly basic, but the refurbished lounge at the front is comfortable enough. The traditional two room layout has been retained since there is also the separate public bar (with pool table) off to one side. Two handpumps on the counter, offering Master Brew and Doom Bar.

E TA left this review about The Railway Tavern

A very friendly village pub next the railway station, the only one left in what is effectively the heart of this small town. It comprises a single carpeted bar, with Sky tv and an unusual collection of brass gauges and other instruments decorating the walls, livening up what is otherwise an unremarkable interior. A selection of low-cost bar meals was available - simple and good value for money. The barmaid was very friendly, and the locals were happy to pass the time. Three pumps on the bar but only two ales on. I had a pint of Bombardier which was in very good condition and beautifully served. Worth breaking a rail journey for a light lunch or a quick pint.
