Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Radnor Arms

Popular food-led pub, with dining areas at each end of the central bar area (which only has a limited number of tall stools along the counter and a shelf opposite by the windows. Upmarket, semi-modern look throughout. I found the usual cask beer temporarily off as the lines to the three handpumps were being replaced, but there were plenty of interesting craft offerings available from 14 of the 21 keg taps divided between six converted copper vessels on the bar-back and to oneside. These included three from Deya, one each from Floc and Three Legs (Session IPA, £6.40), two imported from Belgium and three Dudda's Tun ciders. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are a real plus too.

E TA left this review about The Frenchman

A small back street pub previously known as The Happy Frenchman, just off the main shopping area, it consists of a cramped L-shaped bar with a sterile feel to it. It is popular with local sports fans due to the tv screens showing matches. There is a garden to the left hand side. One end of the pub is dedicated to pub games – dartboard, pool table and gaming machines – and has a laminate floor. There is little character here, but there is free wifi, cheap food and it offers live music. The steel-lined toilets make it feel quite industrial. The only ale on was Doombar which was not well kept. It's fine to drop in and I might include in a crawl, mais ce n'est rien especial.

Steve C left this review about The Frenchman

The Frenchman is a long L shaped pub with a seating area to the left and a bar that stretches along to the right where a pool table can be found. Some background music was playing via a jukebox during my Monday evening visit and the two plasma screens were showing muted Coronation Street and Speedway as the football season is over. Two of the four hand pumps were unused so Hobgoblin and Doom Bar were the ale options.

I thought that the barman was very disinterested in serving anyone and the general vibe of the place was a bit dull. This pub is not on my revisit list when I’m next back in the area.

Clive Thompson left this review about The Happy Frenchman

Found what was the Happy Frenchman only to find that he wasn't that happy anymore and they have renamed it The Frenchman. It seems to have gone a bit upmarket since my last visit and whilst the basic layout is the same they've clearly spent a bit of money on the decor and it's now quite a decent pub. Pool table, dartboard, quiz and fruit machines and a jukebox. It looks like they still have live music events. Just Adnams Bitter on and was in good enough nick for our first two beers of a boozy weekend.
