E TA left this review about The Prince Albert

Originally a grand hotel built in around 1846, renamed after the visit of Prince Albert in 1842, but no-one could tell me what it was called before. The building underwent a substantial rebuild in 1879 after a gas explosion. It is now a single large bar at the end of the high street, and it has a pool table, dartboard and several gaming machines. There were 2 ales on – I had a pint of Landlord which was in excellent condition. It's not modern, and it has retained several of its original features including cast iron columns. The landlord is welcoming, the music on the jukebox was half-decent and it appeared dog friendly. A good place to stop in and have a few beers and useful to include on a crawl.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Prince Albert

Looked like a typical Dover pub (if you've been to a couple, you'll know what I mean), but better than I expected. In addition to all the usual lagers, also offered a reasonable pint of Gadd's No. 5 from Ramsgate Brewery.
