A single roomed pub with a long drinking area as you enter, curving round at either end and more set out for eating. Three sheps beers on from four pumps, Masterbrew, Whitstable Bay and Spitfire. Does mid-range food as well as takeaway Fish & chips, Burgers and the like. Deserted at four pm midweek.Looks like a decent locals community pub but appears to be lacking in locals.

Seems to be under new management every time I go in. A so-so Sheps Masterbrew this time and the place was near-deserted on a Thursday night. Do the locals actually want a pub left in the village?

Under recent new management, with a heavy slant towards food (watch out for deliveries being made from the kitchen at one end of the pub to the dining area at the other via the cramped bar area). Three ales on, Masterbrew, Whistable and Spitfire, usually in decent nick.

Shepherd Neame house (unusual in this part of the world). Usually has two to three Sheps beers on. Condition can be variable and I had a right stinker there a few weeks back which the barmaid refused to take off because “everybody else was drinking it” which may also say something about their taste buds. Either that or she was lying. Inside is nicely kept, with nik-naks scattered around. Feels a bit like your nan's front room on the right-hand side of the bar, though there seemed to be an underlying smell of damp last time.
