Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Lydden Bell

Semi-traditional food-led pub on the old A2 into Dover, unsurprisingly doing very good business on a bank holiday Monday afternoon. Rustic, wood-fronted counter in the front bar, but the various side and rear dining areas have a slightly smarter look. Rear beer garden. Just Doom Bar (£4.90) available from the three handpumps, but the keg offerings include Franciscan Well and Jute from Salt.

E TA left this review about The Lydden Bell

The Lydden Bell is a family owned and run country pub convenient for both the A2 and the Lydden circuit in what is usually a quiet Kentish village. It does good food, reasonably priced, in very pleasant surroundings. Children and famillies are encouraged but are not obtrusive. There are four pumps on the bar btu only one ale on when I went in - disappointingly it was Speckled Hen; I was hoping for a local beer. The Hen was drinkable but not the best I've ever had. I'd be happy to drop in for a pint and a meal when passing or visiting the racing, but I'm not sure I'd make a whole evening of it.
