E TA left this review about White Hart Inn

A pleasant Shepherd Neame town pub in the City centre but not over-busy or swamped by tourists. The clientele were a mixed bag, predominately young and loud, but civilised nonetheless. Only ale on, Masterbrew, which was in good condition. They’re becoming more food oriented btu it’s still possible to drop in just for a pint, and the atmosphere remain convivial for drinkers. The garden is very pleasant, great for the dogs after walking around the City centre. Well placed for the East station, it’s a good place to start or finish a crawl.

Graham Coombs left this review about The White Hart

A lovely-looking backstreet Shepherd Neame pub near East station, but the interior has been stripped back and gastro'ed, with dining tables and clipboard menus. Despite this the food is not too extreme, being a mixture of pub classics and Italian dishes. It claims to have the largest beer garden in Canterbury. The Whitstable Bay Pale was in very good form.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The White Hart

A well kept pub, which is traditional in décor and quite minimalistic. The pub is situated on the edge of a small park and along with the garden area out the back, you would think you were in a rural setting. We sat outside in the beer garden along with a pint of Whitstable, not a very flavoursome beer, but did the job. Only two ales on handpump out of four on this visit, also Monday is pie day.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Hart

Historic two-room Shepherd Neame pub, partly opened out inside and refurbished since my previous visit in quite a basic ale-house style. However, its most notable feature is "Canterbury's largest beer garden" and this is certainly a very pleasant spot to spend a little time on a sunny afternoon. Two of four handpumps in use on this occasion, with Master Brew and a very decent pint of Whitstable Bay (£3.80) available.

Old Blue left this review about The White Hart

This Shepherd Neame house had a light, modern feel and seemed to be one of the most welcoming pubs locally this weekend. Friendly and helpful barmaid, and four hand pumps offering Spitfire, Masterbrew and Amber Ale, and the fourth with a Late Red clip disappointingly reversed. A sign claims the largest beer garden in town, which is believable as it goes back a long way, the first half being a partially covered patio area and the rest being a traditionally grassy area with benches. Not one of Canterbury’s historical masterpieces, but I liked this place and would happily return.
