Quinno _ left this review about Bel & the Dragon
Now a Bel & Dragon bar/restaurant. Light grey and blue interior with the occasional bit of exposed brick. Surprisingly large dining area to left, smaller bar to right, with rabbit warren areas to rear. Kitted-out in the usual mid-market style, the odd soft furnishing and cushion. Lots of old books strewn around. Very swish unisex booth cubicle loos with battleship grey tongue and groove panelling. Rear garden area. Easy listening classics on the speakers. Large selection of papers. Three ales, West Berks GOB, Hop Back Summer Lightning, Upham EPA (good nick) though the teenage staff didn’t exactly radiate the air of competency. Desmond was well-happy with the quality of his lemonade. Pretty dead mid-Saturday afternoon but I guess it’s more of an evening place overall. It’s fair enough for what it is.

Now closed for real - re-opening as a gastropub! Was a GBG regular, really annoyed to have missed bagging it - well their own bloody fault I suppose.
December 2013 (as Swan Hotel)
Closed in the afternoon, not that you'd know it from their website (why do so many licensed premises fail to list their regular hours??)
