Moby Duck left this review about Old Waggon & Horses

Another basic boozer, an apparent recurring theme in Newbury, just two ales on Doom Bar and Good Old Boy,nothing wrong with the place but nothing special either.

Quinno _ left this review about Old Waggon & Horses

The ‘unusual’ dark orange interior is actually pretty tiny belying the fairly large façade. The bar is situated to the right and the left is dominated by a pool table and fruit machine. As seems to be a Newbury speciality it was loud piped Chav music to the fore though the punters were fairly well controlled. Two ales on, a Brains rugby-themed one and Good Old Boy at a very reasonable £2.60 even if the quality wasn’t up to much. Friendly Irish (land?)lady behind the bar. Not exactly an experience but in Newbury it might be worth a look.

Old Boots left this review about The Old Wagon & Horses

L shaped open plan room with a thin seating area and the counter to the right, to the left is broader and houses a pool table and dart board. This part is equipped with high tables and stools. There are three handpumps, two had reversed clips and the third dispensed a fairly poor Harveys Sussex Bitter, there are also the usual mediocre kegs. With a floral carpet, and big clear windows the bland interior is done out in white anaglypta walls with red tongue and groove. The barmaid would rather have been texting friends than being behind the bar, but it was a quiet evening I suppose.
