Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bush

Opened out, L-shaped village pub - certainly aiming lower than the others nearby, but not necessarily any worse for that. Semi-traditional furniture and decor inside, and a rather spartan rear patio garden. Just London Pride (£5.50 with a packet of peanuts) from the four handpumps on this visit.

Excellent 'local' pub with a regular, friendly clientele. Staff are pleasant, helpful, willing, quick to learn who you are if you go more than a few time ... and can be 'cheeky' in the nicest possible way to you once a relationship has been formed. Usually has two, sometimes three real ales on which change on a fairly regular basis though London Pride appears to be a pretty consistent choice. However, good as the beer is, my main reason for going here is the food. Proper English pub grub at very reasonable prices, mostly home made with portions large enough to have most leaving a little at the side of the plate ... AND they don't mind you changing and swapping the make-up of the dish you ordered if it pleases you. Just a shame that every pub didn't serve food this well and this cheaply! Adequate parking, pleasant paved terrace, dog friendly ... children only at lunch time and must be well behaved.

A large village pub in a late Victorian building, mainly a local pub which occasionally hosts live music. There is a paved terrace at the back, plenty of room to move around inside and a variety of seating styles. An original fireplace has a didgeridoo hanging over it, but no-one seemed to know why. There is a piano, WiFi and various gaming machines to entertain the crowds, and they do basic pub grub at a reasonable price. Staff and locals alike are welcoming and pleasant, although it can get a bit cliquey. There is an active cricket community here and many trophies are on display. It is dog friendly. Two ales on, Pride and Doombar, both in OK condition and well kept. I'd be happy to drop in anytime when passing, and it makes a good alternative to the two chain pubs on the nearby motorway junction.

Open at 11am for which I am always grateful. Pretty basic but ok for that. Picture and article about an old SPURS player on the wall.
