Big hotel/pub catering for pensioners on coach trips and people eating.
That said, there is an impressive bar and plenty of nooks and crannies to park yourself in, if you are just wanting a drink.
The South of the Island is quite barren - so little choice in the area.

Massively extended pub with many rooms, heavily targetted at families and eating. Very well run though, and has a good atmosphere and lots of quiet corners. Range of Badger beers. Update 2017 - beers now from a much wider range.
