Soup Dragon left this review about The White Lion Inn

A large detached corner ‘country’ pub in white pained stone, with a great beer garden with children’s play area. It is in the GBG 2010

The interior had three rooms, the dining room I did not see into. The main bar had a smaller room to the side in which there was a pool table. The main bar itself was an L shape and in white and wood panel décor, with some brick and exposed stone. Interest was supplied by pictures and prints of boats and the sea, as well as the pub itself. Ephemera-wise, there was horse bridles and brass trappings, giving the whole place a traditional feel – despite a couple of sofas in the corner. The service was fine and the maturer clientele very friendly.

Beer; tap stuff, with Sharpe’s Doombar, Ringwood 49er and excellent Goddard’s Fuggle-dee-dum and Yate’s Undercliffe.

A sheer delight. The sun was out, sitting the beer garden……. Aaaaahhh!
