As below, its an ok place with a couple of ok beers. There is an outdoor seating area at the rear. Its a little unfriendly.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Village Inn

A thatched stone cottage pub and restaurant that covers two floor, the upper one being closed when i visited. It has a foody patio area.

The interior is open plan, U shaped around the bar and is in green and yellow. There is a mix of tables and sofas, with a couple of tiled fireplaces and a piano. There were lots of old photos, prints of paintings and those metal posters/advertisements for me to look at while supping my ale. The service was fine, but there was no other clientele and the music was supplied at a decent level through the radio.

Beer; tap stuff, with an OK Theakston's XB and an untried Doombar.

Was happy to stop off and try the place, but wouldn't seek it out.
