Opposite the Old Bell, this is the one to head to, based on my visit. Three ales on and a decent selection - Adnams Broadside, Doom Bar and West Berks GOB, along with some Tutts Clump cider. My Broadside was in impressive form. A U-shaped interior with a rear room (public and lounge split by the looks of it). I sat in the front bar (public) which was fairly unremarkable save for some Halloween garb and a wood-burning stove. Food offered, looked like the ‘hearty pub grub’ variety. I was ailing at this point so the flowery description runs a bit dry. Not the best of the day but not bad either.
