Graham Coombs left this review about The Bugle Inn

A vast dining sort of pub, with lots of different areas separated by false timberwork and other obstructions. Styles range through farmhouse, country kitchen, library and wine bar with no obvious reason. Large garden at rear. Ales on pump were Goddard's Innspiration, Landlord and Doom Bar, in fair condition but seemed pricier than other pubs in the area. Service was not great, atmosphere non-existent and frankly wouldn't bother unless eating.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bugle Inn

Substantial, refurbished, food-led pub, opened out and extended to leave a range of seating / dining areas in an overall 'L' shape. Different styles of furniture and decor in each area. Doom Bar, Landlord, Ringwood Razor Back and Goddard's Fuggle Dee-Dum from the two banks of handpumps on the front and rear parts of the counter.

This used to be a nice friendly pub! Unfortunately, that has now changed! It was very cold, the staff couldnt care less and the food prices have increased. But my main gripe was that my son doesnt like chips. Kids meals come with either chips of new potatoes. When we asked if we could have mash potato instead we were told we would have to pay an extra £1.95 which would make a kids meal price on par with an adults. If you want good food and a play area for the kids go to nearbt Sanddown to The Caulkhead and I recommend the cajun chicked skillet sizzler followed by the waflles!!

This pub was rather quiet on our recent visit just after lunchtime. Maybe the now closed Brading Experience is having a big effect.

A couple of ales on but the bar staff really didnt want to be there!

Colin Gooch left this review about The Bugle Inn

Recently brought under new management and next door to the Brading Experience visitor attraction, the pub dates back several hundred years.
With seperate family area and large outdoor play area for the younger ones, the Bugle offers a warm friendly welcome. Numerous beers including island brewed 'Ventnor Golden' (pleasant enough at £2.95). sizeable menu including Sunday steak nights and carvery, but on my visit the Bugle failed to deliver on a fairly basic burger, salad and chips (For £8.95 I expect more than the bland mass produced product than I was served). whilst portions were fine the product was not of the best quality and was somewhat tastless and slightly greasy
