Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sun Inn

Historic pub on the Old North Road just south of the River Lea bridge with colourful hanging baskets on the fence enclosing the front patio benches. However, the interior has been completely madeover, with the 'L'-shaped bar and side restaurant both furnished / decorated in a light semi-modern style. Also has an attractive rear courtyard garden. London Pride and two Adnams beers - Southwold (£2.00, half) and Ghost Ship - available from a total of seven handpumps, and reversed clips for Courage Directors were also visible.

Komakino . left this review about The Sun Inn

The first pub you encounter in Lemsford village, this is a pleasing brick construct which appears to have been added two over the years, without detracting from its charm. You enter via a car park and outside seating area (which segues from the car park) into a roughly L-shaped room, with a chamfered L-shaped bar facing, a flagstone floor with sun motif at the entrance and inglenook fireplaces left and right, the latter the larger of the two. A dining area is behind the right-hand fireplace stack. Courage Directors Bitter, GK Abbot Ale, Fuller's London Pride and Adnam's Southwold Bitter (£3.90 and good) comprised the play-it-safe line-up and large pull-down screens covered each of the fireplaces showing an F1 race. Staff were friendly and efficient, despite a wait to get served (how many actually acknowledge you and tell you they won't be a moment these days?); the only other detraction bar the screens was a small group of sweary locals out front: rather out of keeping for the look of the place.
