Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dunnings Bar

Substantial Irish / sports bar, with the front part subdivided into smaller sections, a smaller rear counter and then two more open seating areas located up a few steps further back. The relatively modern furniture contrasts with the traditional decoration reminiscent of the Emerald Isle, but all areas dominated by large TV screens. No real ale of course, so John Smith's (£4.00) inevitably it was.

Clive Thompson left this review about The Dunnings Bar & Restaurant

Neither a restaurant nor a bar really, it’s definitely a pub, which will come as a great relief to those who previously knew it as the Stag. A restaurant area was added but this is rarely used and over time has just become an extension of the bar. The décor has been tarted up a bit but it has retained all it’s previous character. This is a proper Irish pub by virtue of its landlord, clientele and history rather than a confusing window display and a Johnny Logan CD on the juke box. No juke box here, pleasant piped music and live music every Saturday night. Couple of TV’s that show sports and racing. No real ales but the Guinness is the probably the best in Watford. Not a large pub but friendly and has a good atmosphere when busy.
