An upmarket gastropub (Michelin-starred, apparently), owned by Fullers. There’s a small drinking/holding area front, with dining taking up 90% of the rest of the floor space. Ludicrously OTT rear garden that to be fair looks like a fun spot in the summer months. We arrived a couple of minutes before opening and the Maitre de was very accommodating once we explained we were a pair of chancers pub-hopping around Berkshire. Two ales - Pride and Spring Sprinter. My half of the latter was obviously the first out but was in fair enough nick. A quick glance at the menu noted that the cheapest main course was 17 sheets so I think I’ll stick to the beer here…
