Popular sports orientated Maidenhead centre pub, nearest one to the outdoor market when it is on.
Interior is well described by previous reviewers, so I wont repeat it.
Beer is usually decently kept and Rebellion Mutiny, London Pride and Binghams Brickworks was on when I visited again last week.
Has a late licence on a Friday and Saturday when it has DJ's on and Karaoke sessions on every Tuesday and Sunday evenings if that's your sort of thing. It's not mine, hence I only utilise it for a pint when forced into Maidenhead town centre to do some shopping.

Built in 1881, this front of this pub is very much firmly in 2011, with plenty of screens for sport (including a large one above the bar) and overly loud music. The front bar has clearly been refurbished in the last few years (laminate floor, white walls) and on my Saturday afternoon visit was home to plenty of well-lubricated blokes shouting above the din of music. The corridor leading off from the left hand side has a room off it to the right which is the dining area. 2011 stops abruptly here and returns to 1971 as it looks like an old seaside resorts cast-offs. The corridor eventually leads out into a courtyard area for smokers. Perhaps surprisingly, there were three ales on the pumps, with Pride and Rebellion available, the Binghams Twyford Tipple being off. Both the Rebellion and Pride were surprisingly good and two of the three ales being local was a real surprise.

Whilst this place really didn’t do it for me on one level the beer was good so I might be tempted to pop in again next time.

A pleasant enough town pub with a friendly welcome. An L shaped area with the bar situated in the crook of the L. A few traditional tables, bar stools and a couple of high tables with stools in the window. The layout is such that the pub will be easily crowded.
The area to the side of the bar feels a little seperate, there are more comfortable seats here, and two matching fireplaces but its hard to see how this could have been two rooms unless it was partly private quarters at one time. There is a dartboard here too, but with a table set in front. A seperate dining room is accessed from this area, set behind the bar. A rear courtyard plus a handful of chairs and small tables at the front cater for the outside drinkers and smokers.
A blackboard behind the bar advertises a variety of themed evenings through the week, pool night ( I didn't see a table), darts, open mike, live music and so on, which suggests to me an active management with an interest in seeing the pub thrive.
Beers were Rebellion Mutiny (£3) and London Pride. Decent value standard pub food starting from £4.95 although I didn't sample
