29th Jan 2017: Located on the busy Uxbridge Road opposite a BP garage, this is a small, basic two-roomer with a tiny, square Public Bar and narrow, two-level Lounge Bar. The building is L-shaped, and you enter via a small iron gate into a crazy-paved 'beer patio' with choice of Public Bar via a door to your right or Lounge Bar dead ahead. The interior seems to be original, albeit with updated carpet and faux stone tile bar apron. Beers were Sharp's Doom Bar Amber and CW Bombardier which was £1.80 for a half and in decent enough shape. Very no frills and the Public Bar was to avoided due to some rum locals, but the fact that it's still going means it serves as a decent, down-to-earth stop-off if you're in the area.
