Still an expensive sham of a pub, you will never be served by the Landlord he happily stands quaffing it on the punters side of the bar whilst mugs queue up waiting to be served by the solo bar person. Despite what the misleading signage says they've not served food for years

A decent locals boozer with a staple shaped interior that obviously used to be two separate bars. In fact you can still tell that the left side was the lounge and the right a public bar! Carpeted throughout. Decent grassed rear garden. Busy place and quite a friendly atmosphere, though reports elsewhere indicate we may have got lucky. Live music advertised as well as Tuesday quiz night. Darts and sports TV available. Four ales; Pride and Doom Bar, plus two from Rebellion - IPA and Smuggler, the latter of which was in impressive shape. Very friendly barmaid. Based on a single visit, I thought this was a decent village pub.

This pub lets itself down by the astonomically and constantly increasing prices charged for it's drinks. Outside a placard boasts (Jan 2011) - NO VAT INCREASE - quite right they ramped up the prices in December !! Fails miserably on the food frontand falls far short of the fare offered by other nearby boozers eg Thatched Cottage and The Pond House. Has now gone down the tired old route of "Thai Food" most of the locals would happily go along with reasonably priced scampi, burger or fish and chips.
