A major strip-out and refurb here, including the re-positioning of the bar. Now very light and airy with a modern feel inside though done quite tastefully. Two ales, Doom Bar and a lacklustre Ramsbury Gold.

June 2013
An outlet serving two Fuller’s beers plus a guest (Rambsury). My initial choice of Spring Sprinter was bottom of the barrel, I took it back and it was taken off (with a hint of faint disbelief/incomprehension from the Eastern European barmaid). The replacement of Pride was unremarkable (my companion’s Ramsbury was better). I noted that a replacement for the Spring Sprinter (HSB) went on within five minutes, with no evidence of any pull-through; pity the bloke who got the first pint of that! The main bar was fairly small with quite a bit of wood panelling and a large bowed bay window to watch the world go by. A number of old pump clips hung on the beams and a ‘guest ales coming up’ blackboard at the bar attested to some degree of willing but frankly if the staff don’t really understand what they’re doing it all gets rather wasted. There’s potential here but on this showing I wouldn’t be rushing back. Rated 5

Bucking Fastard left this review about Three Swans Hotel

A small traditional town centre hotel, with a restaurant to the left and a Town Bar to the right, small, compact with some wood panelling and terrestrial TV.Beyond the reception desk in the main lobby the bar extends back from the Town Bar to serve a residents section.
Three handpumps offering Fullers London Pride,Summer Ale and Ramsbury Gold.Fine for a swift pint but very much a hotel bar rather than a pub atmosphere.
