Quinno _ left this review about Queens Arms Hotel

A large ‘lightning’ shaped interior. Battleship grey wood panelling with inevitable equine prints on the walls, though the bearskin uniform was a bit left-field. Horse racing on telly. Very quiet on our Sunday afternoon visit, in contrast with a number of other places nearby. Spirits briefly lifted by the site of three ales on, only one of which was a national (Doom Bar). The other two choices were from Loose Cannon of Abingdon. Unfortunately my first choice of Abingdon Gold was undrinkable so I tried to get it changed which caused a bit of a scene (the usual ‘holding it up to the light chicanery of trying to fob you off). Eventually my stubbornness meant I was given a replacement of Abingdon Bridge which was pedestrian at best. Oddly, there was softcore fishing-themed porn in the gents. Funny lot round these parts, I thought.
