Bucking Fastard left this review about The White Hart

The best feature here is the mock tudor exterior, once inside it's stripped out with a section with a pool table to the left,an open plan area around the bar with a darts board to the side ,then up a few steps a small seating with fruit machines before the doors to a large beer garden with just a few modern benches.
The internal colourings are all dark without being classy ,there is little decoration of interest apart from some childish signs about nobody leaving the pub sober which is easily achieved as there is no real ale and only pedestrian kegs with a half of Stella setting me back £3 which fely usary.
Nothing to see here ,keep on walking.

Another pub in the centre of Baldock owned by Green King. And another one that looks like it used to be separate bars but is now knocked through into a series of connected areas. It retains a traditional décor with a bit of character with oak beamed ceilings, nice period fireplaces and carpeted throughout. And then there is a secluded courtyard garden out back for when the weather is better than it was for my visit.
There are no TV’s or gaming machines in this one and there seemed to be more of a focus on food here, with a decent looking specials board and a small plate tapas menu as standard.
Although this is fortunately a long way from being a gastro pub, there are still vases full of twigs in the tabled area beyond the main bar area, but I resisted the temptation to challenge the bar staff to the logic of decorating what is already a comfortable seating area with bits of dead wood
On the beer front there were three hand pumps dispensing ales from the GK stable with Abbott and IPA and a third form Moreland if I decipher my notes correctly.
