Well I thought it wouldn’t hurt to have a quick half in here to finish the Kintbury set. So what’s changed since 2013? Nothing, it seems, including the barrel of Pride (NBSS 0.5, at £2.50 a half as well); in short, it’s unwelcoming, smelly and full of scrotes. Awful.

June 2013
Easily the weakest of the three Kintbury pubs despite the pretty tiled exterior. Loads of pumps but only a very pedestrian London Pride available. The interior seems rather tired and badly needs some TLC in places. Karaoke, poker and Wii challenge nights give the flavour of a more earthy locals pub than the other two licensed premises in the village. At present I wouldn’t see a reason to truncate time at either of them in order to go here before the train. Rated 4
