Graham Coombs left this review about The White Lion

A big old Vintage Inns dining pub done up in the usual cross-between-farmhouse-and-country-house style, with lots of beams and assorted decorations. Pleasant enough though, especially if you avoid peak eating times. Cask ales were Ghost Ship and Doom Bar, with Tribute and Proper Job "back soon".

Moby Duck left this review about The White Lion

A former 19th century coaching inn, it is now billed as a restaurant and country pub. I would say it is more pub than eatery though the food did smell nice.It has undoubtably been spruced up over time but hasn't destroyed the pubby feel, one large room is divided into several areas and nooks and crannys, oak beams and uprights, wood paneling and irregular shaped walls, and a mix of flooring mediums including stone flags and tiles as well as some carpeting comfortable seating in various guises can be found throughout and a couple of open fires complete the overall pleasant effect. The bar boasted five handpumps but only three beers available on my midweek visit, these were Doom Bar, Harveys Sussex Bitter and Ilkley Mary Jane. There was a mix of keg products, the normal plus a couple of more premium products. This is not a bad place for a pint and probably the nicest in Yateley.
