A two room pub/restaraunt , the main restaraunt is accessed through a seperate outside door,I didn't investigate. The main drinking room is quite a tiny affair with a very low beamed ceiling, the room itself is L shaped with a few table and chairs plus bar stools, all on a rather uneven but nicely authentic flagstone floor. Three handpumps on the bar all working and all dispensing Andwell beers, not good news for me but their seasonal Golden IPA was half decent to be fair, the others being the rather bland pairing of King John and Gold Muddler.
I thought the pub was nice enough but wouldnt go out of my way again.

Bit of an aged building and though modernised somewhat, bits of character remain such as the flagstone floor, low ceiling with treacherous beams and an inglenook fireplace (with real fire). Two rooms, main bar and a restaurant area with a beer garden accessible through the car park. Wafty muzak for ambience. Three ales, all from Andwell. My first choice of Spring was rancid and was exchanged by the fairly nonplussed barmaid for a King John which was in rather more impressive shape, though I noted that the Spring remained on so pity the poor bugger who got the next one. Another place that is GBG 2014 listed in Whitchurch but seemingly not worthy of its place.
