Apparently finally sold in May 2017 and exterior now showing signs of refurbishment. Could it be reopening?

Definitely closed. Fixtures and fittings taken out and most windows now boarded up. With all the other outlets in this monied Hampshire Town now turned into Gastro pubs the Vine was probably the last remaining traditional drinking place (with the possible exception of the White Hart).
But with the amount of money that flows down this high street I cant imagine it will be long before the shell is snapped up and converted into another gastro restaurant.

Is this place open? Went past it on Friday and the grubby curtains were closed and a sign in the window was re-directing mail. Moss is growing over the roof areas. Their 'Facebook page says: "sorry to all our customers we are now closed till further notice, due to Enterprise Inn's rents and prices of beers" (where have we heard that one?).

Visited Saturday lunchtime, two bars, one at front, lounge type & sort of "tap" at back with fruit machine, pool etc
Also has two separate dining rooms
Nothing unusual in beer range, Wadworths and Ringwood, plus usual lagers etc. I had a very pleasant Ringwood best, nice & malty
We ate out in the impressive gardens, stream running through with bridges over, small [broken] playhouse for kids
The menu seems reasonable, fresh fish, steak pie etc, we stuck to cold, ploughman's & tuna baguettes, plus bowl of lovely chips, nicely presented, organic baguettes as well but not advertised as such
All in a pleasant lunchtime experience, with attentive & polite staff
Car park, small for size of pub, but ample free on street parking
