A Georgian building housing a Victorian town pub originally known as The Bunch of Grapes. Despite remnants of the original interior décor, it has lost much of its charm and feels very contrived. The staff were friendly but slightly incompetent, and it didn’t really have a pub atmosphere, more a trendy bar feel. Pop music from ten years ago dominated the airwaves, which was incongruous against the backdrop of Titanic memorabilia, a ship which went down better than this pub. There were TV screens showing live sports (in this pub, not the Titanic). Ales on were Tribute, Doombar and Goddard’s, and there was an extensive gin menu. I can’t see my rushing back.

Slightly disappointing pub in a pedestrianized area full of bars and restaurants. Effectively two rooms either side of a central bar and a fairly nice restored interior with various Titanic memorabilia on show, yet somehow doesn't quite have the right feel. Draught ales seemed to be Doom Bar and a couple of guests, however despite Cask Marque listing they were not in the best order. Worth giving another chance though, as could be an excellent pub with a bit of effort.
