Old Boots left this review about The Lady Hamilton

Long thin pub opposite HMS Warrior, HM Dockyard, the Spinnaker and transport hub. It has a cafe like atmosphere with small square tables down both sides where the side counter doesn’t intrude, booth style on one side. Two pulls of boring but well kept beers, if rather pricey at £2.10 for half a 3.8% bbb. Decor is decidedly nautical majoring on Nelson and his mistress.

A small Georgian pub on The Hard, very handy for the railway and ferries. The staff were friendly but seemingly unable to breathe and pour a pint at the same time. There is a good value pub menu and lots of interesting framed prints around the walls. The clientele were quiet and civilised. The only ale on was Doombar, not brilliant but still potable. A decent local, worth popping in for a swift one when passing or waiting for a train.

Again agreeing with Kate here, could be great pub, but limited bitter, keg only, rest is lager it is lacking in the basics here

Does food, which people eating said was good [not tried myself], given location I reckon it is for tourists really

One bar only

Although occupying a prime position near Portsmouth historic naval base area the pub does little to enhance to visitor's experience of the City. Good sturdy meals available but the beer is not for the faint-hearted or fussy.
