Large suburban pub given the full eatery makeover in muted greys and blues with municipal tiling behind the bar. A pool table lurks down one end. Outside there are some tables at the front and a further patio behind. Ales still IPA, Abbot and Doom Bar.

E TA left this review about The Golden Hind

A 1920s Brickwoods pub, originally Ye Olde Inne, on a busy residential road. It has previously had a reputation for trouble but on this occasion it was civlised and welcoming. It’s a Greene King town pub, family oriented and fairly modern. It has a pool table, dartboard and various gaming machines, though most of the space in its single, large, irregular bar is taken up by tables set for diners. The staff were welcoming, and there were bowls of water for dogs in the entrance. Ales on were GK IPA, Abbott and Doombar, potable but not great. Fine for a pint if passing but there is little to separate it from other nearby pubs.
