Surprisingly adequate Hungry Horse with a separate section for adult drinkers alongside the family dining bit (and Wacky Warehouse play area). Not unpleasant for a modern build and benefits from lots of space. Abbot, IPA and Speckled Hen on handpump in fair condition.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Farmhouse

Large but dull Hungry Horse outlet with a wide variety of seating / dining areas (one notionally children-free) and very busy even later on a Friday evening. Also serves the adjoining Greene King budget hotel. Multiple duplicated handpumps offering IPA and Abbot plus Hogs Back TEA and the local Irving Frigate (£1.85, half).

A Hungry Horse (I wonder if their postcode is a coincidence) as described below, so you have a good idea of what to expect. There is a garden at the rear with children's play apparatus and a small smoking terrace at the front from which smoke drifts into the bar. At one side is a large 'Horseplay' area, adjacent to the restaurant, while the other side is the bar which has an anteroom with a pool table. There are the usual gaming machines and overloud jukebox. They try to be a good local, holding various events such as quiz nights, karaoke and (you couldn't make this up) Slimmers' World evenings. Food was below average but served with an apologetic smile by a cheerful waitress. Three ales on draught, all from GK: IPA, Speckled Hen and London Glory, all desperately over-gassed and predictably bland. Not the worst HH and there's a decent sized car park at least.

Typical Hungry Horse pub ,three beers available from the Greene King Stable, Old Speckled Hen, GK IPA and GK St Edmunds, I had the latter which as I suspected it might be , was fairly unremarkable as is this pub,the only reason for the visit was a car full of screaming grand-children, it turned out to be a case of out of the frying pan into the fire, loads of the little blighters running around, but needs must. This pub does what it says on the can but I wouldn't recommend it for any other purpose other than family duties.

A GK Hungry Horse attatched to a large motel. The wheelchair entry from the big car park is easy and the spacious bar area easy to negotiate. GK IPA and a Smooth flow Speckled Hen which surprised me. Although busy the food came in Twenty Minutes. Two coach parties were being fed out of the kitchens as well as the busy restaraunt.

It's one of those pub-chain places that can confuse the senses by having no real identity and being vaguely reminiscent of every other pub-chain place you've ever visited. Passable - as in - passing by recommended.
