E TA left this review about Electric Arms

A Victorian corner local, not very welcoming. Rather bizarrely, the main door in the corner has been replaced with a glass wall, and they've had to put a sign on it to tell people where the working door is. There is a small, dreary garden at the back, mainly used as a smoking area. The knock-through single bar is part tiled, part carpeted, showing the original room demarcation. There is a vaguely maritime feel to it, framed photos of many generations of RN ships and a few model sailing ships dotted around. There may also be an Irish connection: many of the signs are in Gaelic, and Gaelic football was being shown on the TV. The only ale on was Pedigree, not well kept and in poor condition, while the cheap bar snacks looked rather unappealing. . I didn't feel at all welcome here and shall not be rushing back.
