GK estate pub which in fairness has seen investment - mainly in their eye-wateringly naff ‘working class corporate’ colour scheme. Enter to the bar, with a faintly lounge/dining area to right and the old public bar area to the left with pool, darts and screens. A party atmosphere, with staff dancing behind the bar to the over-loud music. Four ales on, GK IPA, OSH, Abbot and a surprisingly decent Timothy Taylor Landlord. Very busy and obviously popular so fair play – other estate pubs could learn a thing or two here.
