A pleasant looking locals village pub,the carpeted main interior resembles a lounge and is all very homely. There is room for a pool table and cricket was on TV occupying most of the present punters. five handles on the bar, one vacant leaving a choice of Black Sheep Bitter,Sharp's Atlantic,Hobgoblin and Skinners Cornish Knocker, the latter in good shape.
Although not my favorite style of pub, not bad.

Large attractive half-timbered building. Three rooms; games room with pool and darts to left, main bar in the centre and a dining area (oriental stylings to match the Thai food concession) to the right. There is also a small beer garden. Main bar has a 70’s vibe though unlike the 70’s there were four pumps containing three ales: Skinners Cornish Knocker, GK IPA and Kite Bluestone. The Bluestone was in good shape, the Skinners a little more pedestrian. I’m sure my first glass smelt of dog, so a minus there, though the friendly barmaid made up for it a bit. Sunday quiz advertised and sports TV, showing cricket and later, the World Cup. Small book exchange. We ate here whilst watching the football (happy to serve the food wherever) and it was pretty good. Not a bad stop, my companion was pretty keen on it.

Nice village pub, a games room with pool darts, etc, a public bar, a dining area and a conservatory leading to a small garden. Greene King IPA, London Pride and Spitfire in good condition plus Kronenberg, Fosters, Guinness, and John Smith's and Theakston's smooths. Décor is a bit plain, white walls relived only by a few old photos of the village. The customers are drawn from a wide range of ages etc.
